Ausgangspunkt für das Projekt war ein kaputter Wäschekorb. Das dünne Holz des Korbs hat ein einzigartigen Charakter und lässt sich durch seine Biegsamkeit kreativ in neue Formen bringen. Die Wiederverwendung von Holz, ist im Sinne der Kreislaufwirtschaft besonders wichtig. Die allermeisten Holz- und Holzwerkstoffabfälle können nur thermisch verwertet werden und sind somit sehr begrenzt kreislauffähig.
The starting point for the project was a broken laundry basket. The basket’s thin wood has a unique character and, thanks to its flexibility, can be creatively reshaped into new forms. Reusing wood is especially important in the context of a circular economy. Most wood and wood-based material waste can only be thermally recycled, which means their circularity is very limited.
